Volkswagen’s Driver Assistance helps you put more Volkswagen around your Volkswagen with seven available features. Forward Collision Warning and Autonomous Emergency Braking (Front Assist), Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC), Parking Steering Assistant (Park Assist), Lane Departure Warning (Lane Assist), Blind Spot Monitor, Rear Traffic Alert, and Park Distance Control (Park Pilot) are just a few of the available options to help you along the way and give you a little more confidence in an unpredictable world.
The available Forward Collision Warning system (included in Front Assist) has sensors in the front to help monitor traffic and can alert you to critical events ahead. If a collision is imminent, Autonomous Emergency Braking (included in Front Assist) can kick in to help brake the car.
Adaptive Cruise Control
Staying a healthy distance from other drivers is the goal of the available Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC). It helps maintain a preset distance from the car in front of you. So if the car in front of you speeds up or slows down, the sensors detect the change and follow suit.
The available Parking Steering Assistant (Park Assist) has the keen ability to judge if a spot is large enough for your Volkswagen. Then, when prompted by you, it will help steer the vehicle into the space. You operate the accelerator, brake, and shifter.
The beauty of the available Lane Departure Warning (Lane Assist) is what it doesn’t let you do. On select models, when the car is moving, if it senses you drifting into another lane without using the turn signal, it will take action and help steer to help keep you in the correct lane.
The Volkswagen Driver Assistance program offers a collection of systems and technologies to help you along the way and give you more confidence when behind the wheel.
